Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has fired back at critics mocking his spoken English, asserting that personal achievements and family legacy matter more than fluency in a foreign language.

In a trending video from a recent public appearance, MC Oluomo responded to social media backlash over his mispronunciation of the word “kudos” as “kundus.” Rather than express embarrassment, he used the moment to reflect on his journey and defend his accomplishments.

“I wasn’t formally educated, but I worked hard and made something of my life,” he said. “They laugh at ‘Kundus’? Maybe that’s my son’s name! You’re educated, what have you done? Let them go and compete with my children. They are citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom. I raised them in comfort and wealth.”

MC Oluomo, who rose from humble beginnings as a bus conductor to become Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, emphasized that his success was built on resilience, hard work, and strategic growth.

“English is not my mother tongue. Yoruba is. But despite the language barrier, I’ve achieved more than many who mock me,” he added.

His comments have sparked debate online, with some praising his confidence and focus on legacy, while others continue to poke fun at the viral clip.
