The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has applauded activist and blogger Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, for donating N20 million to combat child trafficking.
The donation, made through his Ratel Movement, was given to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
NAPS President Eshiofune Oghayan said the funds will help return trafficked Nigerian children from Ivory Coast and support the rehabilitation of other victims.
He called the gesture a “bold commitment to protecting vulnerable children,” especially girls, and praised VeryDarkMan’s advocacy for stronger border security and support for the Nigeria Immigration Service.
“This is more than charity it’s a powerful stand for our children’s future,” Oghayan said.
NAPS also urged the government to help Nigerians stranded in countries like Libya, Somalia, and Morocco, and called for tighter border control to prevent further trafficking.
Reaffirming the group’s dedication to human rights and justice, Oghayan ended with a prayer for VeryDarkMan: “May God bless him with health, wisdom, and strength to keep fighting for justice and youth empowerment.”
