Controversial Nigerian artist Portable has shared that although Burna Boy gifted him N20 million, he would have preferred a musical collaboration over the cash.
The “Zazoo” hitmaker revealed this weekend that the Grammy-winning Burna Boy gave him the generous sum following his win in a celebrity boxing match against Speed Darlington.
In a recent Instagram post, Portable expressed his gratitude for Burna Boy’s kindness but also voiced his frustration over the lack of further interaction.
He mentioned that despite reaching out via direct messages and phone calls, Burna Boy has not responded, isn’t following him on Instagram, and hasn’t given him a chance to connect.
“Big shout out to Burna Boy. Some people try to fill my head with advice, but this man really helped me with the N20 million,” Portable said.
“However, the person who gave me N20 million hasn’t replied to my messages, doesn’t pick up my calls, and isn’t following me on Instagram. I’ve reached out, but no response. Burna Boy, you gave me N20 million, but you didn’t respond. What I really want is a feature from you.”
He continued, “The N20 million could be gone in a day, but if I get a feature from you, I’ll go viral. You’ve helped me, but don’t be stingy with replying. Let’s collaborate instead!”
