The Presidency has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu remains actively engaged in governance, despite his current absence from the country, and will return to Nigeria after the Easter holidays.

According to the statement released on Thursday, the Presidency addressed growing concerns over the President’s continued stay abroad, emphasizing that there is no cause for alarm and that government operations are running smoothly under his leadership.

President Tinubu left Abuja for Paris two weeks ago. At the time, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announced that the President would be away for approximately two weeks. He has since traveled from Paris to London.

Responding to criticism and speculation from political opponents regarding his absence, the Presidency reiterated that Tinubu is in constant communication with key officials and continues to oversee important national matters, including giving directives to security agencies in response to recent threats.

“The President’s absence is temporary and aligns with the earlier communicated timeframe,” the statement said. “He remains fully engaged in national governance and is expected to return to Abuja following the conclusion of the Easter holiday.”

The statement concluded by reaffirming Tinubu’s commitment to his responsibilities and assuring citizens that governance remains uninterrupted in his absence.
