The Delta State Police Command has arrested David Tacho and Daniel Orshio, for allegedly conspiring to kill their site manager, Chigozie Udalor.
The police are still searching for two other suspects, Pius Daniel and Victor Tacho, who are currently on the run.
According to SP Bright Edafe, spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, the crime was uncovered after Udalor’s cousin, Hyacinth Nnalue, reported him missing on December 12, 2024.
An investigation was launched, and the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
The police arrested David Tacho on March 31, 2025, while he was attempting to withdraw money from the victim’s account using his phone. His accomplice, Daniel Orshio, was also apprehended.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects, who were employed by the deceased, had conspired to murder Udalor after discovering he had money in his Moniepoint account.
The police have exhumed the victim’s body for an autopsy and are working to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
