Afrobeats heavyweights Burna Boy and Wizkid have been named the most-viewed Nigerian artists on YouTube, based on stats from their official channels.
According to PUNCH Online, Burna Boy leads the pack with over 3.32 billion views across 278 videos on his official channel (@BurnaBoy), which launched in January 2018.
The Grammy winner also commands a strong following with 5.38 million subscribers, thanks to consistent uploads and global reach.
Close behind is Wizkid, whose main channel, @StarBoyTV, has racked up more than 2.2 billion views from 88 videos since its launch in 2014.
Although he also runs a WizkidVevo channel, the ranking focuses on his StarBoyTV account. Combined, both channels have topped 3.8 billion views, with videos dating back to 2013.
Rising star Rema (@heisrema) is making waves too. Since launching his channel in 2019, he’s gathered over 2.07 billion views across 184 videos, with nearly 5 million subscribers a remarkable achievement for such a recent entry.
