Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has opened up about her personal journey, revealing that physical beauty alone is not enough to build or sustain a meaningful relationship.
Speaking candidly about her past, the 48-year-old actress reflected on the admiration she received during her younger years, when her looks and charm often made her the center of attention. Despite this, she shared that she remains unmarried.
“In my youthful days, I was the most admired, the most talked about. Beauty opened many doors, I was loved and desired,” she said, as quoted by Vanguard. “But guess what? I’m still not married.”
Adunni clarified that her single status isn’t due to a lack of value or desirability, but rather the realization that beauty alone does not guarantee a lasting partnership. She noted that many of the men who approached her were attracted to her appearance, but lacked genuine intentions.
“Some came for the face, not the soul. Some wanted the shine, not the substance. I learned the hard way that a woman must be more than just beautiful,” she said.
As a mother of one, Adunni encouraged women to prioritize personal growth, strong values, and inner strength over physical appearance alone.
