The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 120 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Lagos. The group consists of 95 men and 25 women.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja. He explained that the suspects were arrested at various locations across Lagos following credible intelligence and extensive surveillance operations.

According to Oyewale, items recovered during the coordinated raid include 26 luxury vehicles, high-end jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and several incriminating documents.

He noted that the suspects are currently being investigated further, and will be charged to court once the investigation is concluded.
