Mohammed Salah has added two more accolades to his impressive collection, securing both the Premier League Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season awards following a remarkable season that helped propel Liverpool to the league title under new manager Arne Slot.

The Egyptian forward finished the campaign as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals, including a dramatic late equaliser against Crystal Palace on the final day. He also topped the assist charts with 18, underscoring his all-around attacking brilliance. Though widely tipped as a contender for the Ballon d’Or, Salah will settle at least for now for domestic recognition.

Earlier in the season, questions loomed over Salah’s future at Anfield, with the 32-year-old suggesting a possible summer exit as his contract neared its expiration. However, he has since committed to a new deal, extending his stay with the Reds until 2027, alongside fellow senior player Virgil van Dijk. Meanwhile, right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave the club, having agreed a free transfer to Real Madrid.

Salah was also named Premier League Player of the Season, becoming only the fifth player in history to win the award more than once, joining the ranks of Kevin De Bruyne, Nemanja Vidic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Thierry Henry.

With Liverpool not participating in the upcoming Club World Cup, Salah is expected to enjoy a well-earned summer break before rejoining the squad for preparations ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.
