The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), held on May 10, 2025, celebrated the best in African film and television with a night of standout performances and industry honors.
Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo’s film Seven Doors emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners. Adebayo took home the award for Best Lead Actor, while Chioma Chukwuka clinched Best Lead Actress, both for their roles in the film. The movie also earned Tolu Obanro the award for Best Score/Music.
Veterans Sani Mu’azu and Nkem Owoh were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards, while director Kayode Kasum received the Trailblazer Award for his innovative contributions to filmmaking.

Jide Jblaze Oyegbile: Best Short Film
Iyo Prosper Adokiye: Best Digital Content Creator (We Listen, We Don’t Judge – Bible Edition)
Ifeoluwa Fatogun & Ebi Atawodi: Best Documentary (Dundun)
Leo Purman: Best Cinematography (The Legend of the Vagabond Queen of Lagos)
Blessing Uzzi: Best Writing (Movie) (Freedom Way)
Tongai Furusa: Best Editing (Inkabi)
Michael Botha, Olaosebikan Okonrende & Dil Chike Ajufo: Best Sound Design (Suspicion)
Soliu Badu Noutical & Ayanmo Yakub: Best Art Direction (Lisabi: The Uprising)
Hakeem Onilogbo: Best Makeup (Lisabi: The Uprising)
