Nollywood actor Tito Harrison has opened up about a harrowing period in his life marked by severe illness and financial ruin, describing it as the most challenging chapter he has ever faced.

Appearing on the Talk To B podcast hosted by actress Biola Adebayo, Harrison recounted his battle with liver disease and a chronic ulcer an ordeal that drained him financially and emotionally.

In a candid interview, he revealed that he was forced to sell his house, car, and nearly all his possessions to cover medical expenses.

“I lost everything,” he said. “But my wife stayed by my side when everyone else vanished. A good wife is truly a blessing. We had to move into a rented apartment, but I couldn’t keep up with the rent. Eventually, we ended up living with my mother-in-law. If I ever come back to this world, I would marry her again without hesitation.”

Harrison said that, while the physical pain and financial toll were overwhelming, the most heartbreaking part was the lack of compassion from colleagues within the Nollywood community. He recalled being publicly mocked during one of the lowest points of his life.

“One actor said in an interview, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s living in his wife’s mother’s house now.’ I still have the article. Even if it’s true, must you say it? If you can’t help someone, at least don’t tear them down.”

His testimony is a sobering reflection on the silent struggles many endure and a powerful reminder of how invaluable support from even one person can be in the darkest times.
