Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has paid a heartfelt tribute to her close friend and industry colleague, Kudirat Ogunro popularly known as Kudi Alagbo for the significant role she played in helping raise her daughter, Priscilla Ojo.

The emotional acknowledgment came during the final leg of Priscilla’s grand wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, held in Dar es Salaam and themed The African Royal Wedding. The multi-day celebration spanned both Nigeria and Tanzania, drawing attention from across the continent.

In a touching video shared by Kudi on Instagram (@semilorepweety), Iyabo dressed in traditional ‘aso ebi’ expressed deep gratitude for Kudi’s unwavering support during her early years as a single mother and rising actress.

“This is someone who helped raise Priscilla Mummy Priscilla,” Iyabo said in Yoruba. “Thank you for those times when I was chasing acting roles and away on set. You stayed with my children, fed them, guided them even disciplined them.”

She went on to credit Kudi with teaching Priscilla essential life skills like cooking, bathing, and getting ready for school, describing her as a second mother not only to Priscilla but also to her son, Festus.

The touching moment ended with Iyabo offering prayers for Kudi and teasing her about her own marriage prospects.

Kudi shared that she still hopes to get married, prompting Iyabo to promise an equally grand celebration for Kudi’s daughter, Dami, when the time comes.

The JP2025 wedding has drawn numerous Nigerian celebrities to Tanzania, including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa, Jaiye Kuti, Chioma Ikokwu, and Sikiratu Sindodo.

PUNCH Online earlier reported that Juma Jux had announced May 28 as the date for their final wedding ceremony. The couple first made headlines in September 2024 after Iyabo confirmed their engagement with a flurry of viral photos and videos.
