Adeola, the daughter of veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George, has finally returned to Nigeria after being trafficked and spending four years in Mali.

The news was shared on Monday by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), via a post on X. She was joined by Nollywood actors Biola Adebayo and Adeniyi Johnson in welcoming Adeola back.

“Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, who cried out that she hadn’t heard from her daughter in four years, is back home from Mali where she was trafficked. Just received her with Biola Adebayo, who broke the story, and Niyi Johnson,” Dabiri-Erewa wrote.

Jumoke George had earlier revealed her daughter’s disappearance during an appearance on Biola Adebayo’s talk show, Talk to B.

She explained that Adeola, her firstborn, had been living with her grandmother in Ibadan and went missing after claiming she was traveling to Lagos.

Years later, Adeola reached out, apologized, and confessed that she had left the country with friends in search of better opportunities.

In the same interview, Jumoke opened up about her financial and health struggles. She said she had to return acting fees and take out loans for medical treatments, with additional tests worth about N400,000 still outstanding.

She added that any income she earned from acting was channeled toward the search for her daughter. Biola Adebayo later confirmed that Jumoke was receiving care at a public hospital in Lagos.
