Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday received the Premier League Trophy at the Lagos House, Marina, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to youth empowerment through sports.
The iconic trophy was presented by the Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria PLC, Mr. Girish Sharma. Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed delight at the visit, noting that it underscores the strong passion for sports in Lagos and its transformative potential. He highlighted the role of sports in engaging young people, fostering social inclusion, and nurturing talent.
The Governor also pledged ongoing support to create a business-friendly environment in Lagos, commending Guinness Nigeria for its contributions to sports and community development.
In his remarks, Mr. Sharma praised Sanwo-Olu’s visionary leadership and reaffirmed Guinness Nigeria’s commitment to supporting initiatives that resonate with football fans and promote positive change across the state.
