President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, describing him as a “pan-Nigerian leader” whose inclusive style of governance reflects the spirit of national unity.

The birthday message, released on Tuesday through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, commended Adeleke for embracing diversity in both his personal background and leadership.

“Governor Adeleke has proven to be pan-Nigerian in his way of life and governance philosophy, exemplified by his Yoruba and Igbo heritage,” Tinubu noted.

Highlighting the governor’s cross-cultural appeal and commitment to national integration, the President praised Adeleke’s role in fostering unity, which he said is vital in Nigeria’s current climate.

Adeleke, who turned 65 on May 13, first entered the national political scene as a Senator representing Osun West in 2017, succeeding his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke. He was elected Governor of Osun State in 2022 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

President Tinubu lauded Adeleke’s growing influence, calling him “a politician of reckoning not only in Osun State but also across the nation and beyond.”

He concluded the message with a personal prayer for the governor: “The President prays for more years, good health, and God’s infinite mercies on Governor Adeleke, the Asiwaju of Edeland.”
