Veteran Yoruba actress Jumoke George has been reunited with her 41-year-old daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for four years and was recently found in Mali.

The heartfelt reunion was shared on Instagram by actress and Talk To B show host, Biola Bayo, who played a pivotal role in bringing the case to light.

“Victory at last! Adeola is finally back home,” Biola wrote.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported this journey I couldn’t have done it alone. Thank you, Nigerians.
Special thanks to my dear mummy, Honorable Abike Dabiri (@abikedabiri), Miss Yakubu Oyiza Hope (#lunaoyiza), and my brother #adeniyijohnson.”

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), confirmed the news, revealing that Adeola had been trafficked and rescued in Mali.

“Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George who cried out that she hadn’t heard from her daughter in four years is back home from Mali, where she was trafficked,” Dabiri-Erewa announced.

In a previous emotional appearance on Talk To B, Jumoke George opened up about her painful experience. She revealed that she had been living in a church for six years, struggling with health issues and the emotional devastation of her daughter’s disappearance.

“My first child, Adeola, has been missing. I’ve been searching for her for the past four years,” she said tearfully.

“She lived and worked in Ibadan with my mother. One day, my mom called to say Adeola had left for Lagos to see me, but she never arrived.”

The actress admitted she had kept her pain private due to fear of judgment. Her health had deteriorated in recent years, forcing her to decline acting roles.

According to Jumoke, Adeola eventually reached out, apologized, and revealed that she had left with friends in hopes of a better future but ended up trafficked instead.

Dabiri-Erewa also commended Biola Bayo and actor Niyi Johnson for their active roles in highlighting the case.

“Just received her with Biola Adebayo, who broke the story, and Niyi Johnson. Details later!” she added.
