Minister of Works, David Umahi, has likened President Bola Tinubu to the biblical Joseph, describing him as a visionary leader whose courage has turned dreams into reality.
Speaking at the Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja on Friday, Umahi said President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated bold leadership and determination, notably in projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road. He recalled drawing inspiration from the Eko Atlantic City project, an initiative Tinubu championed during his tenure as Lagos State Governor from 1999 to 2007.
“Mr. President is a man of courage. I call him Joseph the dreamer, and God has helped him bring all his visions to life. I highly commend him,” Umahi stated.
Highlighting more accomplishments, Umahi praised Tinubu for initiating the long-envisioned Sokoto-Badagry road, an idea first proposed 47 years ago during President Shehu Shagari’s administration.
“The project was originally Badagry to Sokoto, but in his inclusive leadership style, the President directed it be changed to Sokoto-Badagry,” he said. “Only a leader with remarkable courage and vision could bring such a legacy project to life.”
Umahi, a former Governor of Ebonyi State, also lauded Tinubu’s broader impact since taking office in May 2023.
“Our GDP is on the rise, inflation is easing, the naira is strengthening, and the World Bank has confirmed we no longer owe them. Let’s applaud a President of uncommon courage,” he concluded.
