A delegation of Nigerian ministers, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, is set to attend an international press conference in London to highlight the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by Bode Adeyemi, Project Internal Coordinator of the President Bola Tinubu Midterm Legacy Projects Review Committee, during a press briefing in Abuja.
Adeyemi stated that the event will provide an opportunity for ministers and heads of key agencies to present their accomplishments and the legacy projects executed under the Tinubu administration to the international community.
Among those expected to join the delegation are the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Gbenga Komolafe; Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Usman Osidi; and Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacheous Adedeji.
“In just under 24 months, President Tinubu’s administration has recorded remarkable achievements, despite facing both internal and global challenges,” Adeyemi said. “We have compiled a detailed record of these milestones into a comprehensive compendium and a digital platform, which will be unveiled at the event. These accomplishments reflect the transformational leadership of President Tinubu.”
He also commended the ministers, directors-general, and agency heads for their contributions to the administration’s progress.
Meanwhile, during a planning meeting for the event, the Chairman of the UK Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tunde Doherty, emphasized the significance of the London conference in promoting accurate narratives about governance in Nigeria.
Doherty noted that the Tinubu administration has made notable strides in key sectors including infrastructure, the economy, security, healthcare, job creation, aviation, and the digital economy.
“One of the administration’s most memorable achievements is the commencement of production by both public and private refineries,” he said. “Other major milestones include the push for local government autonomy, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project, the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, timely debt repayments to the IMF, subsidy removal, increased state allocations, and strengthened rule of law and security.”
He added that the international press conference will help counter misinformation and offer the global community a clearer understanding of the administration’s policies and progress.
