Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will lead a nationwide prayer session focused on Nigeria’s economic revival, as the country grapples with rising inflation and socio-economic challenges.
The special prayer will be held during the July 2025 Thanksgiving Service, themed “Divine Intervention,” at the RCCG national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.
Speaking on Adeboye’s behalf, his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, said the session reflects a call for spiritual and practical action in the face of current national and global difficulties.
“As citizens and stakeholders, we must reject negative confessions and embrace faith-driven thinking to move Nigeria forward,” Balogun said during a press conference in Lagos on Friday.
Pastor Adeboye expressed strong faith in God’s ability to transform Nigeria’s economic situation and has dedicated this upcoming service to national intercession and renewal.
Echoing this commitment, Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province 1, emphasized that divine opportunities require alignment through prayer and action. He also revealed that the RCCG has set up a prayer team focused on interceding for Nigeria throughout the second half of 2025.
“We’re directing prayers toward critical areas weather, environment, and peace because after planting, the right conditions must follow,” Macaulay explained.
