Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has submitted a list of 12 commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The nomination was contained in a letter addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, and titled “Request for Confirmation of Commissioners in the State Executive Council (SEC).”
This development was confirmed in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Thursday in Akure.
“In line with the powers vested in me under Section 192 (1 & 2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), I hereby forward the names of the following nominees for confirmation as commissioners,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated.
The nominees are:
Professor Igbekele Ajibefun
Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye
Hon. Ayodele Akande
Engr. Alabi Johnson
Alhaji Amidu Takuro
Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu
Mr. Idowu Ajanaku
Dr. Oluwaseun Abosede Osamaye
Dr. Tob Loko
Mr. Olaolu Akindolire
Hon. Sunday Olajide
Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry
The governor urged the Assembly to give prompt attention to the confirmation process in the interest of good governance and the continued development of the state.
