Chelsea are gearing up for a significant summer shake-up, with manager Enzo Maresca set to offload up to nine players who no longer feature in his long-term plans.

According to BBC Sport, the Italian coach has marked a group of players for potential transfer as he looks to streamline the squad ahead of the new season.

The players reportedly placed on the transfer list include Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, Djordje Petrovic, Armando Broja, João Félix, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Lesley Ugochukwu.

Both Sterling and Félix were notably left out of Chelsea’s squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Sterling, who spent last season on loan at Arsenal, failed to make a significant impact at the Emirates and did not earn a permanent move.

Félix, on loan at AC Milan from January until the end of the season, is also set to return, with the Italian club reportedly opting not to pursue a permanent deal.

Maresca’s squad revamp signals a clear intent to reshape Chelsea’s future as he prepares for another season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
