Chelsea are preparing for a major squad overhaul this summer, with at least 15 players expected to be offloaded, according to The Guardian (UK).
New manager Enzo Maresca, who recently guided the club to Champions League qualification and a Europa Conference League title, is already shaping his plans for the upcoming Premier League season and the Club World Cup.
The Blues remain active in the transfer market, with Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap close to joining. However, Maresca is keen to trim the current squad before welcoming new arrivals.
A number of players who spent last season out on loan — including Renato Veiga, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling, Lesley Ugochukwu, Djordje Petrovic, and Joao Felix — have all been placed on the transfer list.
Additionally, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Christopher Nkunku are also available for transfer after failing to make a significant impact in the league.
While Trevoh Chalobah impressed last season, his long-term future at the club remains uncertain. The club is also open to offers for Wesley Fofana, who has struggled with injuries.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez could exit Stamford Bridge if a new shot-stopper arrives, while striker Nicolas Jackson may depart should Chelsea bring in another forward following Delap’s potential signing.
Winger Noni Madueke, signed from PSV for £30 million in January 2023, is also reportedly up for sale.
