Prof. Caleb Igbalajobi, Chairman of the Ekiti State Education Trust Fund, has passed away.

The respected professor of Special Education, who hailed from Efon Alaaye, died on June 8, 2025.

Reacting to the news, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, offered his condolences and praised Igbalajobi as a patriotic Nigerian, a man of integrity, and a passionate supporter of the Ekiti development agenda.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji described the late professor as a notable leader and academic who dedicated himself to advancing education both in Ekiti and across the country.

He noted that Igbalajobi would be greatly missed for his scholarly input, guidance, and nation-building efforts—especially through his leadership at the Education Trust Fund where he served until his passing.

The governor encouraged the late professor’s family to take comfort in the knowledge that he lived a purposeful life and left behind a legacy of service and integrity.

He also offered prayers for his soul’s peaceful rest.
