A United States defense official has confirmed that Iran launched ballistic missiles targeting Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday.
According to the official, the attack involved both short- and medium-range missiles, but there have been no reports of any American casualties so far.
Naija Metro News had reported that Iran launched missile strikes on a U.S. military base in Qatar in what it described as a response to recent American airstrikes on its nuclear facilities.
The attack took place on Monday, targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, which houses U.S. and coalition troops.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the strike, calling it a “mighty and successful response” to what it termed U.S. aggression.
Several missiles were reportedly fired toward the base, but Qatari defence systems intercepted most of them before impact. So far, there are no confirmed reports of casualties.
