Popular skit maker and musician Lawal Nasiru, known to fans as Nasboi, has survived a car accident while on a daring road trip to win a music collaboration with Afrobeats icon Davido (David Adeleke).
Nasboi revealed on Tuesday that his vehicle collided with a parked trailer during the journey. While he didn’t specify where the crash occurred, he assured fans in a live social media update that he escaped unharmed and is currently recovering.
“This could have happened in Lagos too,” he said with a laugh. “I honestly don’t know how it happened. At this point, I feel like giving up. But thank God no one was hurt, and we’re all okay.”
About a week ago, Nasboi launched a nationwide tour across Nigeria’s 36 states in a bid to get Davido’s attention and secure a feature on his next track.
His bold mission has since captured the public’s imagination, with fans pouring out support and encouragement on social media following news of the crash.
