Netflix has once again raised its subscription prices in Nigeria, marking the first hike of 2025 and the third in less than a year.
According to updated pricing on the company’s website reviewed by PUNCH Online, the new monthly rates are as follows Premium: ₦8,500 (up from ₦7,000), Standard: ₦6,500 (up from ₦5,500) Basic: ₦4,000 (up from ₦3,500) and Mobile: ₦2,500 (up from ₦2,200).
This follows previous price increases by Netflix in April and July of 2024.
The subscription hike comes amid a broader trend of rising costs for digital and broadcasting services in Nigeria. The country continues to grapple with a depreciating naira, soaring inflation, and increasing costs of living.
In March 2025, MultiChoice parent company of DStv and GOtv also implemented steep price hikes across its platforms DStv Compact: ₦19,000 (from ₦15,700), Compact Plus: ₦30,000 (from ₦25,000), Premium: ₦44,500 (from ₦37,000), GOtv Jinja: ₦3,900 (from ₦3,600), GOtv Jolli: ₦5,800 (from ₦4,850), GOtv Max: ₦8,500 (from ₦7,200), Supa: ₦11,400 (from ₦9,600) and Supa Plus: ₦16,800 (from ₦15,700).
