Paul Pogba is set to make a dramatic return to football after agreeing a two-year deal with Ligue 1 club AS Monaco, according to Le Parisien.
The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder will join Monaco on a free transfer, marking his comeback to the sport after nearly two years on the sidelines. Pogba has reportedly made “significant financial sacrifices” to facilitate the move, demonstrating his determination to relaunch his career.
Monaco’s third-place finish in the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season means Pogba will have the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season. This comes after his contract with Juventus was terminated in 2024, following a lengthy doping ban that kept him out of action.
Despite his time away from the pitch, Pogba has remained in training and is said to be in strong physical condition as he prepares for his long-awaited return to top-level football.
