Bishop Mike Bamidele of Victory Life Ministry International has called on governments at all levels to be impactful by ensuring people live good lives during their tenure.

Bishop Bamidele made this call on Monday at the 2025 Pentecost Day celebration held in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

Speaking on the theme of this year’s event, which centered on “impact”, the convener of the yearly event called on individuals present to always plan their lives towards having impacts on other people and in the society.

The man of God lamented the current economic realities, stating that Nigerians are facing serious challenges occasioned by the hard economic hardship.

Bishop Bamidele said, “In our country today, expectations appear dashed, hopes appear off and needs are increasing. Stress is increasing, needs of binder for nakedness are increasing and the system has been placed under pressure to meet the needs of people like food, house rents, Medical needs, children’s school fees among others. The policy makers need to get things done.

“Leadership is an honorary task and may not feel how the masses feel due to the bigger picture your gaze is focused on with the belief that it might solve the problem, the masses problem but might not be the solution.

“A more relaxed policies should be made available for the masses which would trickle down to the masses and affect them positively.”

Speaking on the importance of the Pentecost Day, the Convener reiterated call on Governor Ademola Adeleke, to declare Pentecost Day a public holiday in the state.

He said moments like Pentecost Day serve as a reminder to keep hope alive and maintain faith in God despite the challenges.

“Pentecost Day is a very important day and we’re again calling on Governor of Osun State to declare it public day.”

The Pentecost Day event was attended by religious leaders, gospel artists, choir groups, Christians across denominations, and members of the public.

The celebration featured prayer sessions, musical ministrations, and other spiritual activities.
