Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly criticized fellow actress Angela Okorie for her recent remarks regarding Mercy Johnson’s health.
During an Instagram live session, Angela Okorie said she had decided to forgive Mercy Johnson after hearing rumors about her alleged health issues. The two actresses have reportedly been at odds in the past.
“Recently, I heard Mercy Johnson is not feeling well, and I honestly feel for her. I want the best for her,” Angela said during the session. “The kind of sickness I was told she has is something I wouldn’t even wish on my enemies. I’ve forgiven her, and I don’t want to say anything else about her. These bloggers can be really crazy sometimes.”
In response, Regina Daniels took to her Instagram page on Tuesday to criticize Angela’s remarks, labeling them as insensitive and unnecessary. She reaffirmed her support for Mercy Johnson and questioned the need for forgiveness.
“With all due respect, Aunty Angela… abeg, no forgive because on this side, we don’t need your forgiveness,” Regina wrote. “And while you’re at it, don’t forget she has strong kids. No dey shalaye!”
Mercy Johnson has since dismissed the rumors, clarifying that she is not battling cancer.
