LNollywood actress Rosy Meurer has publicly denied allegations that her husband, Olakunle Churchill, physically abuses her, labeling the claims as false and malicious.
In a post shared on her Instagram page Wednesday, Meurer expressed frustration at ongoing rumours about her marriage, blaming “idle minds” for spreading lies. She emphasized that Churchill is not abusive and urged people not to project their personal traumas onto others.
“If you don’t tell your side of the story, they will tell it for you in ways that suit them. YOU MUST SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF!” she wrote. “I have children and people who look up to me I can’t stay silent. Only I can tell my story.”
Taking a swipe at critics, Meurer added: “It’s funny when haters wish domestic violence upon my marriage maybe they’re reflecting what happens in their homes. My husband could never even say hurtful words, let alone raise a hand.”
She concluded her message by stating, “MY HUSBAND IS NOT A WOMAN BEATER!! They’re just trying to recycle old lies. KUDOS!”
Churchill, on his part, responded with humor, dismissing the rumours and sharing that the couple is currently vacationing in Disney Paris.
“I hear say I dey trend. Who cook am? My family dey enjoy life for Paris. Una go wait till menopause,” he quipped.
