According to Haramain, a Saudi-based digital platform, the initiative is designed to make the Hajj Khutbah accessible to a global audience. The sermon will be delivered on Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to June 5, 2025.

Languages in this year’s broadcast include Arabic, English, Urdu, French, Indonesian, Mandarin, Farsi, Russian, Bengali, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Malay, Tagalog, Amharic, Swahili, Tamil, Hindi, and Somali—along with Nigeria’s three major languages: Hausa, Fulani, and Yoruba.

The multilingual broadcast is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to promote Islam’s message of peace, unity, and inclusion worldwide.

The sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent on May 27 marked the beginning of the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar. The Day of Arafah will fall on June 5, with Eid al-Adha following on June 6.

Dhul Hijjah holds deep spiritual significance for Muslims, featuring the Hajj pilgrimage, acts of worship, and personal reflection.
