Osimhen

Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal have stepped up their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with newly appointed manager Simone Inzaghi reportedly giving his approval for the high-profile transfer.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray, is set to return to Napoli. However, the Super Eagles star is expected to leave the Italian side permanently ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Despite competition from several top European clubs, Al-Hilal are pushing aggressively to land the 25-year-old forward. Osimhen’s current contract includes a €75 million release clause, which the Saudi club appears ready to trigger.

However, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the update on Wednesday via X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Victor Osimhen remains high on Al Hilal’s list as a new striker, with talks ongoing to bring in the Nigerian forward. €75m release clause available. Al Hilal are working on the player side for a target now also approved by Simone Inzaghi.”
