Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the club’s intention to retain manager Simone Inzaghi, despite a crushing 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final.

The defeat marks Inter’s second loss in a Champions League final in just three seasons, following their narrow defeat to Manchester City in Istanbul two years ago.

Inzaghi’s current contract with the Serie A side is set to expire in June 2026. However, Marotta made it clear that the club remains committed to its manager.

“This defeat will not affect our decision,” Marotta told reporters. “Inzaghi has one year left on his contract, and we had already planned to meet with him this week. As a club, we don’t typically allow a coach to enter the final year of his contract without clarity.”
