Hon. Mustapha Olaide Olipha has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is likely to win the upcoming 2026 Osun State governorship election, with strong support from the people and a united party.

Speaking during an interview on Tuesday at Insight Links TV, Hon. Olipha, a Member of the House of Assembly and former aspirant, said, “I believe APC will win the next election, Many people who supported PDP last time have returned to APC. There’s about a 90% chance we will win in towns like Ejigbo, Egbedore, Ede, and others.”

He also reiterated his commitment and support to the party. “I am a committed supporter of the APC. The party has done a lot for Nigerians, and we’re still reaching out to the grassroots to remind them of our goals,” he added.

He stressed the importance of unity and good organisation within the party. “With the right mobilisation and strong structure, APC will take back control, We must also make sure our candidates truly represent the people to win their trust.”

Addressing the Local Government crisis, he criticised local government leaders for poor performance and failure to carry out their duties while alleging that the National Union of Local Government workers,NULGE, Chairman may have made a deal with the current government

“The court has already given its ruling, but local government workers are still not working. I blame the NULGE chairman and the state chairman of local governments for this failure. Allegedly, the NULGE chairman was offered money but said it wasn’t enough.

” It’s said that he took ₦100 million and told workers to stop working, making reinstated APC chairmen powerless in their offices. In some platforms, most workers are lamenting about thier inactivity and still collecting salaries, which is unfair to the system “, he said.

In conclusion, He encouraged young Nigerians to take part in politics. “Young people must not stay silent. Your vote and your voice are powerful. I believe the 2026 elections will be peaceful, free, and fair.”
