World News Bangladesh Air Force Jet crashes into school, killing at least 16 Modupeola Showunmi July 21, 2025 At least 16 people, most of them students, lost their lives on Monday when a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into a school campus in Dhaka, according to government officials. Over 100 others sustained injuries in the tragic incident, with 83 currently receiving medical treatment at various hospitals, the office of interim leader Muhammad Yunus confirmed. The F-7 BJI aircraft, manufactured in China, took off at 1:06 p.m. local time (0706 GMT) before it crashed shortly after into the premises of Milestone School and College. An AFP photographer at the scene reported witnessing emergency responders carrying injured students on stretchers.
