Chelsea concluded their impressive run at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with a resounding 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final, not only lifting the trophy but also sweeping top individual honours.
Despite PSG entering the final as the favourites, having previously dismantled Real Madrid 4-0 Chelsea stunned the French champions with a dominant first-half performance.
Cole Palmer starred yet again, netting a brace and providing an assist for Joao Pedro’s goal, all before halftime. PSG were unable to respond.
Palmer’s outstanding form throughout the tournament, particularly in the final, earned him the Player of the Tournament award. His teammate, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, was awarded the Golden Glove after keeping three clean sheets during the campaign.
PSG’s Desire Doue was recognised as the Young Player of the Tournament, thanks to a series of eye-catching performances despite his team’s defeat in the final.
Meanwhile, Gonzalo Garcia of Real Madrid claimed the Golden Boot, finishing as the competition’s top scorer with five goals.
