The semi-final fixtures of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup have been confirmed following an action-packed round of quarter-final matches on Saturday.

Real Madrid secured the final semi-final slot with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund. Early goals from Gonzalo Garcia and Fran Garcia put the Spanish giants ahead before Maximilian Beier reduced the deficit with a low shot in extra time. Kylian Mbappé responded almost immediately with a spectacular overhead kick to make it 3-1.

A red card to Madrid’s Dean Huijsen gave Dortmund a lifeline, which Serhou Guirassy converted from the penalty spot, but the Bundesliga side ultimately fell short.

Madrid’s reward is a blockbuster clash with Paris Saint-Germain, who earlier defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 despite having two players sent off late in the match. Goals from Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembélé proved enough for the nine-man PSG to hold on.

The other semi-final will see Chelsea go head-to-head with Fluminense. The Blues edged past Palmeiras with a narrow 2-1 win, while Brazilian side Fluminense overcame Al-Hilal to book their place in the final four.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, promising two blockbuster matchups as the tournament nears its climax.
