The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time for its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Originally slated to hold at the party’s national secretariat in Wuse II, Abuja, the meeting will now take place at 2 p.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. The adjustment was announced in a statement on Wednesday by APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who attributed the change to logistical reasons.
The meeting is seen as a pivotal moment for the ruling party, as it is expected to address the leadership vacuum left by the resignation of former National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down in June, officially citing health reasons. However, insiders suggest internal power struggles played a significant role in his exit.
There are indications that Acting National Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may continue in that capacity pending a formal elective convention.
Also on the agenda are reports from the party’s Constitution Review Committee and updates on the ongoing electronic membership registration drive, seen as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
