A leading member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged the party’s newly elected National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to make the upcoming governorship elections in Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun a top priority.

In a statement issued from Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye congratulated Yilwatda on his election at the APC National Executive Committee meeting held on July 24. He emphasized that success in these off-cycle elections would be critical in building momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“These three elections are strategically important and must be approached with precision,” he said. “The chairman needs to work hand-in-hand with state party structures to develop localized strategies that can secure victory.”

Oyintiloye praised Yilwatda’s integrity and leadership qualities, expressing optimism that his tenure would inject renewed energy into the party.

He also encouraged him to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, by continuing to attract influential figures from opposition parties while recognizing and rewarding loyal APC members.

He further stressed the need for internal democracy and responsible management of defections to preserve unity and cohesion within the party.
