Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has alleged that a church pastor absconded with $8,000, left his wife behind in South Africa, and remarried in the United States.
Speaking during a recent RCCG men’s program, Pastor Folu shared the troubling account, which has since gone viral online.
According to her, the pastor, reportedly from Ekiti State, was assigned to Cape Town, South Africa, where he allegedly misappropriated $8,000 intended for the purchase of a permanent church site.
She revealed that the pastor later fled to the US, remarried, and left his wife in dire straits. “The woman he deserted in South Africa is now in a terrible condition almost running mad,” Pastor Folu said, expressing deep sorrow.
Addressing the congregation, she issued a strong warning about the presence of deceitful individuals in ministry, asking, “What are we going to do? Shall we continue to tolerate such lying and deceitful spirits in the house of God?”
The allegations have sparked widespread reaction, prompting renewed calls for accountability and integrity among church leaders.
