At least six people were killed in fresh Russian drone and bomb attacks across eastern and southern Ukraine, local officials reported Friday, as Moscow continues its offensive despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning to seek peace or face tougher sanctions.

Russia has intensified its aerial bombardment and ground assaults in recent weeks, ignoring international pressure to de-escalate the conflict.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region—an area critical to Ukraine’s industrial and mining operations—three people were killed during a wave of Russian strikes. Two died in the Kamyanske district when a drone strike sparked a fire that damaged administrative offices, a shop, and residential homes, according to regional governor Sergiy Lysak. A separate drone attack in the region claimed the life of a 52-year-old man.

Elsewhere, attacks in the partially Russian-occupied Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions killed three additional people.

Ukrainian forces reported that Russia launched 35 long-range drones overnight, a smaller number compared to the hundreds it has the capacity to deploy.

In response, Russia claimed to have intercepted 73 Ukrainian drones over its own territory, including 10 aimed at the capital, Moscow.
