The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that Nigerian activist, Scott Iguma, will be arraigned in court today, following his recent arrest.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Iguma will appear before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on Thursday morning, July 17, 2025.
“Scott Iguma will be arraigned on a 10-count charge at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, this morning,” Hundeyin stated via WhatsApp.
Iguma was arrested after publishing a series of posts on Instagram, where he alleged that real estate firm PWAN had been issuing receipts to customers instead of allocating actual plots of land.
In a follow-up post on Wednesday night, Iguma further claimed that his arrest was orchestrated by PWAN founder, Augustine Onwumere, in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner of Police at Panti, Yaba.
