Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has unveiled his final 23-man squad for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa.

The list features several established stars but also notable absentees. Bayer Leverkusen duo Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, alongside Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar, were left out of the squad.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali headlines the selections, joined by defensive stalwarts Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel. The midfield will be marshalled by Wilfred Ndidi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Frank Onyeka, while attacking threats include Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze and Cyriel Dessers.

Midfielders: Alex Iwobi (Fulham, England); Frank Onyeka (Brentford, England); Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas, Turkey); Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Lazio, Italy); Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium); Christantus Uche (Getafe, Spain).

Forwards: Ademola Lookman (Atalanta, Italy); Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan, Italy); Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray, Turkey); Moses Simon (Paris FC, France); Cyriel Dessers (Rangers, Scotland); Tolu Arokodare (Genk, Belgium).

The Super Eagles will be looking to strengthen their chances of qualification as they take on Rwanda and South Africa in back-to-back fixtures.
