The Dangote Group Plc has pledged comprehensive medical care and compensation for Mrs. Ruth Otabor, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma “Phyna” Otabor, following her involvement in an accident with one of the company’s trucks.

 

The incident occurred last week along the Auchi axis in Edo State, causing major traffic disruptions in the area. Mrs. Otabor sustained injuries and was promptly taken to the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention.

 

According to eyewitnesses, emergency responders and security officials arrived at the scene shortly after the crash to manage the situation.

 

In a statement released on Thursday, Dangote Group confirmed that representatives from Dangote Cement Plc, along with insurance officials, had visited both the accident site and the hospital to meet with Mrs. Otabor’s family.

 

“This action reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of those affected,” the company stated.

 

“We are ensuring full support for Mrs. Otabor, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with Dangote Group’s welfare policy. Our thoughts remain with Mrs. Ruth Otabor and her loved ones, and we wish her a full and speedy recovery.”

 

The Group also noted that it is working closely with relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, reaffirming its dedication to road safety and responsible operations.
