The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 45-year-old technician who was electrocuted while working on an electric pole in the Shasha area of Lagos.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to information the command shared on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said the man was carrying out a reconnection when he was electrocuted. Detectives were immediately deployed to the scene after the matter was reported.
“The electrician died while attempting to reconnect electricity cables to a pole in Shasha. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where a doctor confirmed him dead,” Hundeyin stated.
