Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Engr Busuyi Ayowole, has officially joined the African Action Congress (AAC).
Ayowole made this known in a statement obtained by InsightMedia penultimate week.
The Iperindo-born engineer accused the All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party of failure, declaring that the duo have failed Nigerians and should be voted out now.
He said his decision to join the AAC is rooted in his readiness to offer quality service and leadership to the people and ensure development reaches every corner.
“I’m addressing you today to publicly declare that I have officially joined the African Action Congress (AAC) as I continue the journey to fulfill my political mission.
His statementreads, “It is with that conviction that I step forward—not for fame or personal gain, but for the redemption of our land.
“My decision to now align with the AAC comes from deep experience and firm belief. This progressive, people-focused party—led nationally by the fearless Omoyele Sowore—represents the bold, ideological break Nigeria needs.
Let me speak frankly. Since 2014, the APC has sold Nigerians hope built on sand. While it may be charitable to assume our recent presidents, including President Tinubu, had good intentions, they have failed to show the sincerity, moral backbone, and strategic vision needed to lead. They do not deserve to remain in power.
“We need a national political reset—one that returns power to the people and upholds the real meaning of democracy: a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
“What we’ve seen instead is political theater: legislators and governors shamelessly decamping between APC and PDP like actors switching costumes. These are not parties with conviction—they are alliances of convenience, driven by greed and disconnected from the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.
The so-called Tinubu-Buhari merger promised change but delivered only economic decay, institutional collapse, and public disrespect. Even in Osun State, it’s alarming that a PDP governor—after years of political rivalry and legal battles funded by taxpayer money—could consider defecting to the very APC he once condemned.
Let me be clear: The PDP, APC, and now increasingly, the ADC, are united in failure. They are political chameleons with no real allegiance to the people.
This is why I say: Enough is enough.
It is time for every patriotic Nigerian, especially in Osun State, to rise. We must reclaim our future from those who have squandered it. We must reject deception, manipulation, and impunity—no matter the political party that carries it.
After rigorous consideration, I believe the African Action Congress is the best platform to help restore dignity, justice, and prosperity in Nigeria. Together, we can build a movement anchored on truth, courage, and service to the people.
So today, I invite all well-meaning citizens to join the AAC, register as members, and help us Take It Back.
