Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has shared her inspiring journey from humble beginnings to continental football stardom.

Speaking during a testimony session at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City in Ogun State on Saturday, Ajibade reflected on her past, revealing that she once hawked olive oil, kunu, and zobo drinks during church deliverance programmes.

Ajibade, who captained Nigeria to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, attended the August edition of the church’s monthly ‘Power Must Change Hands’ event.

“I was one of those girls selling olive oil, kunu, and zobo at deliverance programmes,” she told the congregation.

“Whenever things get tough with my club or the national team, I pray. I work hard, but I never forget to seek God’s help.”

She encouraged the audience not to give up “keep praying, keep fasting, keep working, and keep believing.”

Ajibade also presented her WAFCON winner’s medal to MFM General Overseer Dr. Daniel Olukoya and his wife during the event.
