The controversial social media commentator, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has expressed his disappointment with singer Naira Marley for forgiving actress Iyabo Ojo, following her alleged defamatory comments during the public uproar over the death of singer Mohbad.

VDM revealed in a video posted on his TikTok page that he had urged Naira Marley to take legal action against Ojo for cyberbullying and defamation. However, the singer reportedly chose to forgive her after she tendered an apology at the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police.

“I told Naira Marley to have Iyabo Ojo detained,” VDM said in the video. “I advised him to show anger at the Commissioner’s office and emphasize how her defamatory statements had damaged his image and career. He agreed, but the moment Iyabo apologized in Yoruba, he forgave her on the spot. I was shocked and almost collapsed where I sat. I was deeply disappointed.”

VDM added that Naira Marley’s close associate, Sam Larry, also opposed the decision to accept the apology and became emotional during the meeting.

“When Sam Larry saw that Naira Marley had accepted Iyabo’s apology, he was visibly upset. I kept signaling to Naira not to accept it because I knew she wouldn’t uphold her end of the deal. Sam Larry even cried,” he said.

It will be recalled that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were cleared of allegations related to Mohbad’s death approximately four months ago. The late singer’s demise sparked nationwide outrage and led to a flurry of accusations and online clashes involving several public figures, including Iyabo Ojo.
