The Director General of the Ned Nwoko Campaign Organisation, Leonard Esegbue, has dismissed recent rumours suggesting that Senator Ned Nwoko is planning to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement addressing the speculation, Esegbue described the defection claims as false and the handiwork of political “mischief makers” who are uncomfortable with Senator Nwoko’s growing political relevance.
He assured constituents in Delta North and Nigerians at large that Nwoko remains firmly committed to the APC and enjoys a cordial relationship with President Bola Tinubu.
“There is no disagreement whatsoever between Senator Nwoko and President Tinubu,” Esegbue said. “The senator is a strong supporter of the President’s 2027 re-election bid and remains fully aligned with the party’s goals.”
He further noted that the rumours were deliberately planted to create confusion ahead of the next general elections.
“Such baseless rumours are intended to distract and divide. Senator Nwoko is focused on his legislative responsibilities and political vision within the APC,” he added.
Esegbue urged those behind the falsehoods to engage in responsible and constructive political engagement, stressing that any future decisions involving Senator Nwoko will be communicated through official party channels.
