Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has temporarily stepped aside from official duties for three weeks to attend to health concerns.

The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday, quoting the governor as saying that prioritising his health was necessary to ensure he could continue to serve effectively and make sound decisions for the state.

In his absence, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal has been assigned to oversee the affairs of government until Radda’s return.

Governor Radda expressed full confidence in his deputy’s leadership, assuring citizens that ongoing state projects, programmes, and initiatives will proceed without disruption.

“The administration looks forward to his return, healthy and ready to continue serving the community,” the statement read.
